Seafarers/Crew Members Visa 

ISSUANCE OF SEAFARER/CREWMEMBER VISA WITH NO CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT ON BOARD A FOREIGN VESSEL OPERATING IN BRAZILIAN JURISDICTIONAL WATERS:

This visa modality applies to crew members on ships hired and chartered to provide services. Also, for other "off-shore" areas such as platforms, shipyards, etc.

​

The seafarer/crewmember visa allows the foreigner to work continuously on board a foreign vessel or platform, to enter and stay in Brazilian jurisdictional waters. The visa is temporary, valid for 02 (TWO) years and it is extendable.
